Physician (Radiology-Diagnostic)

This position is located at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Incumbent functions as a Staff Radiologist and provides professional guidance for all necessary diagnostic radiology testing to include GI fluoroscopy and general pain film testing. There is strong emphasis on the interpretation of sectional anatomic diagnostic procedures such as CT scans, MR/MRA/MSK, and ultrasounds. Work Schedule:
The tour of duty for this position is primarily days shifts, Monday through Friday, and may include some extended clinic hours, as well as weekend coverage. Financial Disclosure Report:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. For foreign medical graduates facility officials must verify with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) that the applicant has met requirements for certification, and must obtain a copy of the ECFMG certificate. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Experience:
Preferred fellowship training in sectional imaging. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology is preferred. Reference:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
