Carpenter

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for maintenance tasks that fall under the categories of the journeyman carpenter, but not limited to:
repairing, replacing, installing door frames, walls, floors, windows, and building forms; repairing and replacing stained, cracked, or broken ceiling tile; hanging pictures, signs and similar decorations; maintenance and repair to office furniture; installing pull shades; installing toile tissue, paper towel, and soap dispensers; other items similar in nature. Responsible for fabricating the following, but may not be limited to:
frames, rafters, decks, concrete forms, walls, staircases, door frames, window frames, interior and exterior trim, workbenches, countertops, bookcases, cabinets, consoles, shadow boxes, and placing of trim and molding. He/she is responsible for the following tasks:
Mitering of wood, rabbets, dados, biscuiting, using glues and adhesives to glue wood pieces, veneers, and. counter tops securely; using wood and metal and various materials, to Install and replace partitions, floors, panels, suspended ceilings, countertop and moldings, etc. He/she will interpret complex instructions, sketches, blueprints, and building codes. Responsible for setting up and operating drill presses, using power and hand tools, joiners, planers tenoners, sanders, routers, power nailers, screw fasteners and etc. Responsible for safely operating powered equipment and hand tools. Experience:
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT:
Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire. Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated. Without More Than Normal Supervision Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Measurement and Layout Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (includes blueprinting reading) Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note:
A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements:
Incumbent must be able to do a considerable amount of walking, standing, stooping, bending, and crawling. He/she must be able to Work in congested areas, in tight, cramped or awkward positions. Incumbent may be required to carry and set-up ladders and indoor scaffolding. May be required to lift or move heavy equipment or furniture that may weigh more than 50 pounds. Working conditions may include work from ladders and indoor scaffolds. Incumbent will be exposed to environmental cleaning chemicals, which may be irritating. May be required to wear protective clothing and wear respirator in performance of duties.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
