Advanced Regional Center for Orthopedics & Podiatry is a orthopedic and podiatry office with multiple locations and multiple providers.
This position will be based out of our Altoona office.
We offer paid vacation, 401K and health insurance.
Job Description Identify and document all patient accounts accurately based on the type of insurance product the patient has.
Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, HMO, Workers compensation policies Perform detailed, accurate and timely verification for patients seeking treatment Accurately complete all data entry, including insurance information and benefit details Confirm pre-authorization requirements and document approvals/denials Contact patients to obtain any additional insurance related needs to ensure completion of insurance verification process.
Collaborate with the billing team on insurance questions for appeals and denials Qualifications High school level diploma or GED required At least one year of medical eligibility experience preferred.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel Basic level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret, calculate and communicate financial responsibility Ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet critical deadlines Clearances will need to be obtained prior to the start date.
