Life Sharing is a program that allows individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live with and share experiences with supportive persons in a caring household.
Through this long-term living situation that promotes choice and community integration, the individual gets to enjoy sharing life experiences, building mutual relationships and responsibilities.
The Director of Life Sharing Services will be responsible for administrative oversight, the regulatory compliance and daily operation of Life Sharing programs including vetting, supporting and licensing of host families.
Assures that program services provide for the health, welfare and safety of individuals supported by monitoring the quality of services.
Manages the program following the principals of Everyday Lives.
Provides a day-to-day variety of everyday living services and care to people with disabilities using positive approaches with respect for individual rights.
The Director provides leadership oversite to the program and program staff.
The Life Sharing Services program operates 24 hours per day/7 days per week.
This position may be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Intellectual Disabilities, Education or related field.
EXPERIENCE Five years in a supervisory position within the developmental disabilities and/or human service industry.
SPECIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES Knowledge of PA state/county intellectual disabilities and system.
Familiar with the Life Sharing Program.
Familiar with principles of Everyday Lives.
Must be computer literate and learn and use applicable regulations.
Ability to relate to and work with people.
Must be alert, aware and agile.
LICENSURE Valid driver's license (must be maintained along with a safe driving record) Job Type:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
